those photobook are basically using printer inks to print the images directly on white glossy paper or any type of paper the printers offered.
a low quantity run 4C off-set printing.
there are not the same as those flush mount photo albums which images printed on silver halide coated photographic paper and go thru chemical processing.
each types have pro and con,
the photobook are lower cost, able to have many types of papers, and also can have many pages.
the photo album are much higher cost generally, each pages have certain thickness, so not able to have too many pages as the album will be very heavy.
most people are still confuse about these two types of products, as they go for photobook due to the cost, but greatly disappointed with the outcome as they expect the printing results to be the same photo album.
I suggest if anyone keen to order a photobook, go to showroom of album makers to compare the differences of between photobook and photo album.
