Anyone know how to split video or cut short?

Anyone here know how to cut short a video clip or split? I dun have much experience in these areas, any software that i might need? .wma or .wmv?

Well if it is a wmv, windows movie maker already included in windblows would work. OS X I Movie would work well for some formats as well

Thanks. I tried the windows movie maker. Im able to split the movie but dunnoe how to save the movie that was split into .wmv or .wma, only save as the movie maker format..

Do you know how?

I think its under a command called export or something. Sorry cannot check out for u now. Working on mac platform. Its under the file tab.

on the left panel, the last section under Publish to, click on This computer.. then you can choose which format you wish to save under..

I think virtual dub also can solve the prob. hehe

Virtual is the best lah, freeware somemore. Can code to MP4. Can even convert your video to BW, Sepia mode. For those who use HP to record video, some times will forget and recorded the video in portrait mode then when playback must rotate the TV to watch, I remember this proggy can also rotate the video for you to solve this prob.:thumbsup:
