Anyone has good/bad experience with Tamron 17-35mm f2.8?

i use a nikon d50 and got this lens. i don't know the difference between canon and nikon. should be the same. this lens is pretty dam sharp. taken at F4 and it's good enough. colors can be fixed in photoshop.

Very nice photos of "Malacca" (note the spelling). These buildings are wonderful for photography as the red brick colour really jumps out at you. You managed to shoot it while the tourist crowd is away. Excellent shots really. Hope my 4L can compare to these shots in terms of colour and sharpness!

its macro lens are constant f2.8..

but how many times you use 2.8 for landscape or even shoot wide open? a min f4 or f5.6 to get everything relatively sharp

Personally using the nikon kit lens for events and wedding as it is a cheap and gd, however will upgrade to the legenary 17-35 eventually not because of its constant f2.8 but because its colour reproduction, sharpness and AF cannot be compared

it's 28-75 is also constant 2.8
