can get the dell XPS series.

1Gb of ram should be quite fast,if not can add more later on.

The price can range from S$1800 to >S$4000. However, you may want to consider to look for one with CORE 2 DUO 1.85GHz CPU, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 80GB HDD, 14" with 1280x800 resolution, DVD DL Rewriter.

Most importantly is to ensure that the laptop comes with a dedicated graphic card, not onboard shared ram graphic card, like intel graphic accelerator.

Saw a few Acer and toshiba laptop with ATI and Nvidia GPU series, good enough for post processing at Tampines Courts.
