the handheld is a bit un-friendly at the beginner. But after using it for few months, I am used to it now and when you talk about hand held, it will have to be both hands on the camera. I never believe anyone can hold this type of cam with 1 hand but with helps of the neck strap and closing both your elbows, you get fairly stable handheld shot.
I have used many different pro and semi pro camera so far this is the most value for money IMHO. I paid about 10.5k for the camera with 1 8GB and 1 16GB card, a bag and 2 yrs MACK warranty. This is a good investment considering it is a 3x1/2 chips, Fujinon lens and full HD capable. So far a lot of my clients said 'wow' at the final DVD delivered to them.
The real issue some will find is that the AF is a bit slower and this might not so good for 'run and gun' type of shoot. As for why the AF is slower, dvinfo.com got lots of info on it. Cehck it out yourself.
