In my own world
I'm thinking of going for a macro shoot this coming weekend..

Can someone recommend some good places? Thks!

The usual suspects....Singapore Botanic Gardens, Alexandra Hospital Butterfly Trail, MacRitchie Nature Trail, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve....maybe that open field behind your house also...you'd be surprised what you can find... :D

Oh..cos the other time I went to SBG's marsh garden only manage to find 1 dragonfly and few ugly looking grasshoppers. Not really a fruitful trip perhaps its due to the bad weather then...insects all hide from the rain...keke

Any experience in AMK park the one behind the MRT? Cos its nearer to my place can go there alone anytime.

Macro is everywhere ,you need Keen eyes and sharp observations. Places I go for Macro shoot walkabout

Central Catchment Reserve
SBG
AH
Kranji

Cheers

I agree with megaweb. Marsh Gardens is the best place for newbies to catch dragonflies and grasshoppers. Especially if you go in the morning around 9am.

But just look around your own neighbourhood. Any area with lots of flowers, rotting log, bushes or basically just grassland has many insects for you to shoot.
