Usually we have our outings on the 3rd or 4th week of the month but for April, I'll be away on the 3rd week of the month.

I think for the KTM it would be best to catch the night train on Friday night.

Arrival in KL would be in the morning & connecting train to Butterworth we would be there by Saturday evening I believe.

From Butterworth, a ferry would bring us across to George Town where the main area of Penang is.

I would suggest flying back by Tiger/Jetstar. Should set us back about 150RM?
