American Gangster/Mafia Flick

Hi All,

It's been a while since I posted about Countdown. As some of you may or may not know, I'm currently in the United States and these are some screen grabs of a short film we shot over the weekend here. It's essentially a gangster-mafia film noir along the lines of Goodfellas, The Departed, or Training Day. I usually do more snazzy and up-market blockbuster films but I decided to go for a more gritty, realistic, bloody, and impactful film this time with wittier dialogue, smaller guns, and dramatic, harsh lighting. I'll post the main vid or a trailer up when post-production is done. For now, enjoy the following unedited grabs from our DVX100a and XL2. As always, C & C is welcome (:

Looks pretty good. The *cough* DVX *cough* is a great camera. Looking forward to seeing the final thing. Congrats blt, you have reached the standard of average american indie film

Blt, looking forward for the trailer and the specs of the production, audio equipment, lighting, etc.

Cmon mal, lets go get some caucasians from SAS.

for the hospital hallway.
Curved it up, changed the colour to make it whiteish as your footage was certainly yellowish.

For this, i just went straight for a clean bluish filter - like the matrix. Compared to the above this one, i feel this look more 'film'

Can't wait for some trailer shots to be uploaded here ! (great grabs)

I'll own blt back soon enough..

BTW: all the nicer grabs are from the dvx ;)
