They look like that. In fact, they are like that. I tried searching around Google for Singapore shops but to no avail, I still can't find any results. I didn't want to make a wasted trip down to Balestier to search for them.

So if any of you pros out there have any idea where I could find them, I would really appreciate it so much. I really need these clamp lights for my sketches and short films.

Thanks a bunch :)

Japan Home (household chainstore) stocks a similar clamp light (E27 bulb holder) but without the "beauty dish" at $12per pc. Made in Thailand. But Manda at peninsular plaza stocks lightstand stud mount E27 bulb holder from China with built-in umbrella holder at not much more money. Umbrella gives you greater flexibility.

from what ts is saying, i think he wants these more as a prop?
if so, i may have stumbled onto something similar at those cheap cheap value dollar kind of shops. It has a smiliar clamping system but dont think it came with a parabolic dish though.

@bamboopictures Thank you! Will check it out! Now I just need a way to direct the light properly or there will be too much spill.

@incubus Nope! I just want to use these lights as an extremely low budget way to lights my sets. :)

If you want very a tight spot, you can put a pringle potato chips tube over your E27 halogen spotlight as a snoot. If you want a softer light, put an energy saving flourescent coil light in a black Daiso Beer Can Cooler case. Cut a hole in the case for the bulb holder, of course.

@bamboopictures I have a question though, do you know where to get cheap LED panels and also what is the maximum wattage that can be taken by the bulb holders?

I would not reccommend anything higher than 150W. In fact, you would get much softer results with energy saving bulb. If you want something easier to transport Sim Lim Tower shops are selling E27 LED light corns with 166 LEDs with brightness equivalent to 80W but drawing only 12W. You can also get cheap LED panels from Manda. I would also strongly reccommend the Four-way E27 mutliplier from manda if you are using energy-saving or LED bulbs.

Wow, thank you!

Any idea what is the damage for the LED panel and the four way bulb holder?

LED panels range from $60 to $400 depending on size. 4 way bulb holder is less than $10.
