Agony of waiting....

I just received a reply from a popular UK Leica dealer on the stock availability for the 35 lux FLE and the 16-18-21 WATE. Of course there are no stock available now, but guess what, the waiting time for WATE is 4-6 months and 35 lux is 8 - 12 months!!!!

Oh ya, and you have to put a 10% deposit in order to get to their waiting list...:bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes: Can't believe this!

Looks like I have to continue to wait for Raffles Leica......=(

FLE is widely available you just need to pay a premium for instant gratification

Great stuff are usually limited and have to wait, otherwise you may get them from the B&S section in Clubsnap.

i was picking up a copy of 50mm summilux yesterday at one of the authorised leica dealer and learned about there is one piece of 35mm lux coming next week still not on reserve list yet but could be soon gone. if you fast leg fast hand, you might be able to choop it but be prepared for full list price though, no discount.

waiting for leica lens is like lottery you could wait forever and it never comes, when the time is right it will show up..
got 2 copies of 50mm summilux locally black and silver in space of 1 month at old list price after waiting for almost a year and it was less than $5K back then..

In AUG 2011 the Leica store has 55 35 LUX's on their waiting list !!!

There are so many 35 Lux FLE moving on the secondary market, most with warranty. Its just a question of price and where you look. Even in clubsnap Buy&sell u can see people have sold FLEs.

alot of this is marketing also. Like disco or nightclub always have long queue, but is it always crowded inside? not necessarily. sometimes its just bouncer making the queue long
