Would like to know is there a need to convert to avi or other format before importing to Premiere? I'm currently using Premiere Pro 2.0. The camcorder is using SD card, will the video recorded smoothly as tape? Hope it's not recorded in vob format cos Premiere Pro 2.0 & CS3 doesn't support this format.

Downloaded the Mainconcept MPEG Pro 3 plugin, which supports that format and Premiere CS3. using studio 11 & 12 gotta good result too :)

Wah, tinymall, so u have bought hmc72. How is the quality so far? I read somewhere that hmc72 can only record up to 13mps only whereas hmc150 can go up to 24mps. How much did pay for it?
Btw, Adobe premiere pro CS4 is out and support AVCHD as well so you dont need a convertor.

hope that you have not bought this camera, its just a consumer avchd in prosumer body with professional xlr input. But avchd is definitely better than hdv as there is no tape drop. There is a lot of converter out there to convert avchd footage. Can log onto to panasonic website to download their software as well. Premiere cs4 support avchd in native format as well. Try renting one before you buy it if possible.

Hi Guys,

I learned that the Panasonic AG-HMC152 (PAL version) is available in Singapore. I'm keen to upgrade to HD. However, I'm not sure if my editing software will be able to process the clips.

I'm using iMovie 6.

Do any of you guys know whether this is possible ?

Thanks in advance :)
