FYI, affordable is relatively,
spending anything less than 10 % of all of your expenses of wedding day preparation on wedding day photography is not recommendable, consider that is the only way you keeping a records of your wedding day, unless you find that is not important to you.

actually, one year advance booking for wedding day photographers is rather common, but have certain risks,

the turnover rate for wedding photographers is very high, especially for new comers, nobody know are they doing fine and will they still stay in business the next year?

besides, if they are aspiring and improved a lot over some time, they will be banging their head for locking their rate down by accepting an assignment one year ago.

So in my opinion it is more suitable and safer to book an established professional photographers for very popular date or very advance booking.

as we had heard so much about aeroplane photographers, or like booked "A" photographer, but "B" photographer show up in the wedding kind of stories.
