Hi all!

Does anyone know where I can buy acid free sleeves, holders or frames that I can use to store a photo? Measuring 8"x10".

Is there any material that I can use as a backing as well?

Also, if a photo has been written on with a marker, like autographed or something, will it affect the photo in any way?

Sorry for the many questions...still a newbie to all these. Hope somebody can help.

Thanks! :)

Not quite sure where you can get that but I would expect any place that sells philatelic items will have it since stamps collecting will have the same requirement on using acid free plastic sleeves.

artfriend at takashimaya sells acid free plastic sheet holders for a4/a3 sizes....wooden frames are not recommended as wood contains natural acids unless specially treated...ordinary markers may discolor after a few years..if you want to write on pictures, use acid free markers (also avail at artfriend)...if you want your pics to last, prt on archival quality paper using pigment inks
