About macro lens...

Hi everyone,

Please don't lough at my question for i am very new in this line

Just want to ask if a macro lens can be use for normal photograps e.g landscape or close up shoots.

by the way i have an olympus e-500 and thinking of buying a macro lens for trainning, so for me i think it's a waste of time changing lenses between shoots. becoz i only have i camera that is ;p

Can. Macro is special lens for close up shoot. Depend on focal length, if you are using 50mm macro it might not enough wide for landscape. But again, 50mm doesn't mean can not use for landscape.

In olympus e system (2x crop factor), the FoV of 50mm is like 100mm Fov of 35mm.

i see so if i buy a 30mm macro that means i have the same as a 60mm Fov of 35mm.
