R u sure I doesn't have the camera?I m sorry if i had make u feel uncomfortable,but facts is facts,I don't blows trumplets, it is me. U r sure when u lift the glass there wouldn't have any problems at all. We just need to take out the lens and blow in our A 900 without any hindrance hence is up to individual and ways of handling. I still maintain my stand,unless there is great improvement,if not will not invest in any of the cameras at the present.

You said there is "No way to blow the dust away from sensor". As it is now on the A55, you remove the lens, then you can blow the dust on the pellicle away. Press the small latch and the pellicle flips out of the way, you can clean the sensor directly. Flip it down, done.

On the A900, you need to activate cleaning mode first as well, it's not as simple as just removing the lens and blowing.

Those are the facts, and facts are facts as you say.

Will like too,but so far until today there is no solution for the strobe lighting remote,oso there is NO WAY TO BLOW THE DUST AWAY FROM THE SENSOR ,as the glass is too fragile to remove without scratch,cannot think off anything that can make me exciting over this ,unless, otherwise there are really big improvement from the previous A 55 that can shoot with ease on studio shot.

Nobody is putting words into your mouth or changing your very off-balance points. You yourself said the exact words that I quoted. Also, you do NOT NEED TO DISMANTLE OR REMOVE the glass. That's a simple fact that speaks for itself. Please don't try to spread misinformation.

Your statements about "any photographer" are funny, because the actual photographers who've used/own an A33/A55 know that it's a simple button push to get the pellicle mirror out of the way - no dismantling / removing necessary. Any photographer knows that it's actually quite easy.

No, the way it sounded was that you never actually tried it. And you do NOT need to "remove the glass". It flips out of the way easily and simply. According to your statements, it is difficult because you need to "dismantle the glass" first (your own words, nobody is putting words into your mouth). This actually shows that you've never tried it. It's a simple push of a button, the screen flips out of the way with no scratching. It's a flexible polymer sheet, it's not that fragile. It's easier to do this than go and enable the "cleaning mode" in our A900 cameras where we still need to dig through the menu. Try blowing the dust on your A900 without flipping the mirror first. Same banana.

So, in conclusion:
1. No need to remove the glass.
2. No need to dismantle the glass.
3. The glass flips out of the way with a push of a button
4. This is actually faster than on my A900 - no digging through menus needed.

I am surprise ppl are saying it's troublesome to clean DSLT sensor... I will beleive if they say cleaning the mirror you need to be careful as it's a think film like rather than a hard glass/plastic but just blowing the dust off the mirror is ok and easy.

Yup. I think lets all chill it yeah. With SLT , just need to take real care not to scratch the film when cleaning. To flip it up, really like that has been said and shown, just press one button, it will flip up .

Personally, will be interested to see what new lens Sony will release to match it with the new camera.

If they need a high resolving lens, probably means that the 24mp sensor is happening for sure.

But I have taken over a 10k pics with my A55 and changed lens a multitude of times. And yet never cleaned my sensor before. :bsmilie:

Just tilt your camera downwards, prepare the lens in advance, do it quick n its unlike the dust will get in.

ehhh... no no. don't get antsy now... only clean your sensor when there's dust on it that's affecting your images...

to see if there's any dust.. usually stop down the aperture to at least f16 or smaller... then shoot at a uniform white background (for best results use the sky).. use a low ISO so it's clearer...

if there are black spots... there's dust on your sensor...so you need to clean it.. by cleaning you need a blower to blow out the dust...

I have got more than 100k counts on my A900 and never had an issue with dust on sensor!

- Like I said, prepare the lens before mounting, open the lens rear cap, blow off any dust first.
- Face the camera down.
- Then remove the camera cover and put on the new one immediately (2sec?)

Also, remember to use a lint free cloth to clean the mount on the lens and the rear cap after each use.
The lens mount is usually the place where dust sticks and gets into the camera during mounting.

i think you are probably lucky till date non of the dust landed on your sensor ^_^. our air is full of 'invisible' dust...

True ! ...but everytime you switch on your cam, it 'vibrates' and shakes the heck outta the dust sticking to the sensor. :bsmilie:

Have not cleaned the sensors of any of my cameras yet, maybe it's because when I do check, the 'dust' always seem to be at a different spot. :dunno: ...and since I never ever shoot at f16 and above ...why bother !

hmm I dont really need 17fps la , but i would enjoy a bright , accurate and responsive VF =D . Plus top notch handling like A850.
