Best deals keep on changing. Call the usual recommended shops (SLRR, Click!, MS Color, Cathay) and ask. Do your own research, then you will always know the latest "best deal".

Taken the plunge and purchased the Sigma 18250 Macro zoom lens. Find the macro capability of the lens is quite ok and handy, though the maximum magnification radio is only 1:2.9

Below are some sample taken with this lens with A57, manual focus, straight from camera without any editing. Paris Ris Park.

Does anybody know the RRP for the Sony a57 body?
Or is it only sold as a package with the kit lens (S$1099, IIRC)?

when i purchased mine last year, it was only available in a kit. would have loved an a57 body only option, now i have a spare 18-55 lying around unused lol..

Apologies for digging up a thread which has been inactive for quite some time.

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether the AC adapter (AC-PW10AM) for the Sony a57 is available locally? Seems that there is no mention of it on Sony Singapore's website; and the one available through Sony USA's website costs quite a bit. Contemplating of getting a third-party one via eBay, but issues (with the stuff catching fire, malfunctioning, etc.) are always at the back of my mind when thinking about getting third-party equipment.

Would really appreciate assistance with regards to this matter. Thanks in advance!

Well I ordered off ebay and it works fine for me... cost me like 10 USD shipped free from Hong Kong... Have been using it for months without any issue... Comes handy for time lapse and indoor shots.. no bettery running off ac directly
