please like it if you do like it.
please tell me why if you don't like it. :)

not bad but i dun understand what that gal is doing towards the end. maybe u can also include where those places u been to.

used a 24-105 and a 50 1.8

the girl thought i was taking a photo of her, but i was actually filming her. So i guess that explain her silly movements. place her there to also end of the whole thing.

i thought the places are already mentioned? Khao Yai and BKK.

places as in where u took the elephant rides, where the go kart place is etc.

yeah.. i thought of it initially. But i thought it would go against the pacing of the whole thing. wouldnt it? cos i did rather short cuts on most of the places and people.

it will be good to include in... else for those who never been to Khao Yai before like myself will be wondering where those places are. :)

Kop Koon Krap for your effort:D

I enjoyed it and brought back memories for me! Btw, it's illegal to "play cards" in Thailand. Most thais would play inside the house and close the door;p

I think you manage to squeeze enough family times (especially the playing cards segment) into this clip which I think will appeal to the family members when they watch it.

I am itching to do a clip like tat..

haha thanks. im sure no one would really care about the card games. I even saw some thai locals playing it on the street in bkk while mending their stalls. :S
next time when you're out with family or friends just film them down! no need to be in other countries! :)

btw, khao yai is around 2 hours from bkk. Its a nature reserve area, with mountains around. weather there is nice! doesn't feel like its in thailand.

Thats a really great clip... I like it...
Btw, I think keeping the video without too many text overlay is good, if you want to provide more information, you can do it at the ending credits or just write in the comments. I think keeping the video clean like what you have done is pretty good.

Once again, keep up the good work.

cheers...

Btw, are you using MF or the AF from the camera?
Any tips on doing those follow focus shots?

hey nice clip
i was thinking of ideas on how to shoot a holiday video
you gave me some ideas:D

nice idea, but i think you miss a story line throughout. changes in scenes are too fast and unless you know what you shot, i.e. you were on the trip, you have not clue what's going on

that's what i am trying to say, at least include some names of the places he went to so viewers will know what's going on.

thanks for the kind comments. :)

i'll keep in mind about the ending credits. Seems like an idea.
i used MF throughout. as for tips, if you are not using tripod, just keep your hands as steady as possible and turn the focus rings! haha

but as for the storyline, i didn't think that there was a need for one. the purpose is to show how much we enjoyed the trip, what we saw and what we also did. Maybe the title "travelogue" is kinda misleading.

but i do belief that it still can be improved, i agree with you that some scenes are cut off very quickly. but thats because i realised when editing, i missed out shooting on some establishing shots.
