I have been having problems with development at Fotohub,
many of the initial photos had streaking
and i was quite upset about it.

Fotohub Commonwealth was quite helpful, they asked for my negatives,
cleaned up the negatives, refreshed their development chemicals
and I did 2 more batches with no problem,

So, if you issues with your development at Fotohub, try
to speak to someone at Fotohub Commonwealth, explain
the issue and let them work out a solution.

Thanks for sharing. I too have been having issues with development with Fotohub (and a few other developing shops as well). From dirt to scratches, be it positive or negative film, they have been showing up from time to time. I guess the next time any issue turns up, I'll contact them myself.

Maybe I should take a look at the film I just collected from them.

I just sent a roll of 120mm film for development and I should get them today... hope everything's a.ok... *cross fingers

Going to Commonwealth is quite a chore for me

actually, mandy of fotohub cw called me and confirmed that a
temp machine they used caused those problems with the
mixing of chemicals, they told me they stopped using
it once they found out about it.

that sound comforting... hahaha

Sure hope so. I had 4 slide rolls which are filled with black spots.

I think they need to purge their machines better.

thanks for sharing about this. my 3 rolls of slides developed in jan got a lot of dried water spots. after showing it to my friend who is more expert he says that it's cause never wash and dry properly. :(

next time if this kind of thing happen again i will complain to them.

Thanks raytoei for sharing his experience.

I also notice that many of my photos have streaking.

Wll call Foto hub tomorrow.

Some of my color negatives sent to other labs comes back reeking of bleach. Does this meant they are not properly washed?

Just got my roll from Fotohub last nite.... no problem at all..

My negatives have had spots and scratches also. It seems to have happened lately. Last one with them was mid Feb at raffles place. Will they check their other branches as well once a complain has been made?

I have had scratches from fotohub (city hall and Jurong Point) and even Konota.

I think finding a quality developer is nearly impossible in Singapore.

i asked konota where they did the B&W development, they said fotohub. so the source is fotohub.

Do you guys by any chance know if Konota develop Portra 120mm in-house or send to Fotohub?

color 135 and 120 format is in-house.
i had problems with weekend color 120 format processing, the konota owner
apologised and said his weekend staff dunno how to handle 120 format.
(the crumbled the drying process and part of my negs melted/curled)
next time to let him know and ask for him for 120 color process.

Awesome... as much as I like how Provia renders.... i find it a chore to travel to fotohub from east side even by driving.

Konota only send slides to fotohub to develop, the rest 35mm and 120mm is in house. Correct me if im wrong....

I got so many scratches in the past that now I just shoot B&W and self develop, don't trust anyone!!

Got my film back yesterday and yes, dried water spots... i'm so upset!!! ;(
