A-Mount for Minolta SLRs

Asking on behalf of a friend, who has a Maxxum 300si, which I read uses A-type bayonet mount. Just wondering what is the mount for the current line of Minolta SLRs, like Dynax 5, 7, 9 etc, is it A-type too? He's thinking of getting a new body but using the lenses that his 300si uses.
