Hi all,

I was at Tangs yesterday, and saw they have a 92 (or was it 95? 90? can't remember) litre dry box going for S$299. The box has a single door, and an analog RH meter cum thermometer. Comes with 5-year warranty and free delivery as well.

Asked the salesman, and was told the price will stay while stocks last. Anyone bought this dry box, or any comments on the pricing? Definately looks tempting! ;p

carrefour has digicabi AD100, SGD258, 5years warranty, plus free delivery.

btw, if you think a certain size is sufficient, but the next larger size. i thought the 80L was big enuf, looks like 100L would be better.

Bro, you need 90 L ?
What you have?
I am using only 60L..

Digihub got mid-year offer:
HD-40 at $99, HD-60 at $139, HD-80 at $169 and HD-100 at $209.

Must be the best price in town!

BTW, AD is the digital version. HD then is the analogue version. I asked the Digihub what's the difference, and they pointed me to the online FAQ, which says nothing about the difference, except that the analogue version has a auto-cut-off when proper humidity level is reached. Sounds like analogue version is better.

yeah thinkin of getting a HD-60 myself. seems like the difference between AD & HD is just the display and the auto-cutoff. any reviews?? :P

I am using the DHC - 80 and this is different from the AD model. The AD model only has a plain LCD display of the humidity whereas the HD ones have a analog meter.

The DHC is the only one which has digital control of humidity and the response is very fast. I've set mine to 45% and whenever I open the box for 1 - 2 minutes, the humidity will rise almost immediately to about 47 - 50%. After closing the box, the unit will respond and dry it out to 45% again after a while...

Thanks for the inputs. I have quite some old negatives, and a few PnS to put into the dry box. So thought instead of buying 30L -> 60L -> ?? might as well buy a bigger one straightaway.

The contents of my dry cab are very similar - old photos, negatives, camcorder, couple of PnS etc. Pleased I went with the 80 litre - especially as I've started to build my lens options up. Just got the 24-70L and am now fair pleased with myself for getting the bigger cab !! On the other hand, maybe it was having a bigger cabinet that subconsciously steered me to buy more/bigger lenses...doh :mad2: :bsmilie:

Cheers
