so option 5 which is the old tamron 70-300mm is discontinued?? checked the price guide and they say it was $250 like a few months back. awww, so the next best thing within my budget would be a 75-300mm from BNS???

Don't get Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD MACRO. Slow auto focus at longer end.

Such lenses are usually slow, unless I have $1000+ to spare. Tamrons are also generally slower, so yea they are real slow. But I mainly need the reach and the IQ. I already have bought the Tammy though .
