5d mark 2 always blur back ground

Yes there is ISO 500 on 5DMkII if you set your ISO speed increments to 1/3 stop instead of 1.

oh thanks for letting me know. i never change the ISO speed increment before since the default works for me.

hi there

why my 5d mark 2 is always blurring the back ground when i m taking some portrait shot. sometimes i also want to get a clear background or just get a full clear pic

by the way, i m using 50mm 1.2l

thx

LOL... f/1.2??? of course la... such shallow aperture of course la!!

Ok the bottom line is this. Camera lenses work similarly to the human eyes and our eyes' iris is like the aperture blades of the lens. U try to look at something close and u'll notice that the background is blurred so the same is for camera lenses. If u look at something which is close to the background then obviously everything will be in focus.

Our eyes automatically adjusts the opening of the iris according to how much light is avail so it optimises our vision in all light conditions; big when lower light and small in brighter light.
