Why a 3rd party? What's your budget?

IMO, Nikon's Speedlights are still the best bet.

Forget about 3rd party. You'll lose CLS. Not worth it.

Again, you missed out something.. TS wanted some suggestions for a flash that has one similar function (among the many) to SB600/ SB800. It can be CLS, Manual preset, etc....
