39 East Photography is currently in search of photographers interested in being a second shooter at weddings. This is a paid position with work mostly falling on the weekends with occasional weekday weddings. This is currently not a full time position but we are looking to groom people who are interested in making a career out of photography.
We require the following
1. Be absolutely confident about your photography. Due to our client profiles, we will not have time to teach photography on the job. You must be sure of your photographic ability both locally and internationally. We do take on assignments which would require international travel.
2. This is a long term relationship and we will be consistently calling you back to do more weddings if your performance is up to par. Please keep this in mind when applying
3. A definitive style of wedding photojournalism. Assistant photographers who show a definitive style in their wedding photography will be moved up to associate photographer, making this an ideal position who photographers who want to shoot weddings but don't want to deal with the hassle of running a business.
4. A strong command of english
5. Your own digital slr and lenses. Preferably a Nikon or Canon digital slr. We must be able to integrate your files into our workflow.
6. A strong commitment to improving on your own
