350D vs 400D

2nd hand 350D and 400D here (not in sg now^^||| on exchange program) is about $300 sgd difference, but when reading up dpreview.com the few difference i think impt to me is the less noise + auto cleaning that i think 400D win over 350D.

comparing both prices, is about $300 sgd difference for 2nd one but age difference of abt 1yr... 350D mostly are already 1.5yrs old while 400D are abt 6mths old.

any advice on which? should on save the 300 for lens...or the difference is worth 300sgd??

400D doesn't have lower noise. In fact it has similar noise level but 1/3 stop less sensitive compared to 350D (400D's ISO 100 is indeed ISO100, while 350's is like ISO125).

To me the big plus is the 9-point AF system from the 20/30D line. Also, the 2.5" screen is vastly superior to the 1.8" on 350D and is great for checking settings compared to the small secondary LCD on 350D.

Handling wise, the grip is slightly better and you don't have to press "SET" to confirm a change of setting. You can also use the "SET" button for flash exposure compensation instead of digging into the menu.
