save a little bit more

35/1.4 and 135/2.

That's the only two lenses I use for virtually everything I photograph nowadays.

Just pack in a 1.4x for a slightly longer reach when necessary - virtually no loss of image quality.

Get all the fast L lens lar! No horse run one! All those slower prime just can't have those bokeh effects.
But make sure u use the $2200 35L on a full frame else the picture will look like it is taken with a $500 50mm f1.4 lens.

And remember to add in the 85L to fill the gap inbetween your 35L and 135L!

May I ask why would the front bokeh of this image is considered good. Sorry if this question sounds too interrogative, but I being inquisitive just would like to know.

Thanks. :)

????
May I know why in the first place u say the front bokeh is consider good leh?

Personally, I'd say get the L for the range which you photograph more in first. If you currently use your 35mm a lot, get the 35/1.4. The 135/2.8 is very very good also, you won't have any regrets buying it. Plus price has come down again recently, so now it's really really cheap and affordable.

Go for all the 3 L lenses lah!
These are 3 of the most solid lenses from Canon that can rival or beat all the brands including Leica and CZ.

I tot that's a solid picture from the master..

As to why the bokeh is considered good... well.. it really depends on whether you like it or not?

Get only lenses that u really need.

U ask people who drive Ferraris which car to buy, they will most likely tell u Ferrari of cos!

If u shoot more often, it will come very naturaly which lens and even the focal length to get. If u still very uncertain, that's really bcos u haven't shot enuff yet.

Dun get swayed easily by what others tell u to buy... only u know best! Yr 35mm f/2 may be more powerful in your hands than someone else who owns the L one

I honestly cannot comment on the bokeh whether in front or at the back but your pictures always leaves me in awe!! Do you host your pictures on any site? Would love to see more of your work.

Shoot with these 3 L lenses (35, 85 & 135) and u'll be in awe lor....

it's not just the lenses lah, the photographer is the one who makes the photos! :)

Fully agree.... after i owning the 35L, 85L and 135L.. with a 1.4x TC... almost never use the 70-200 IS anymore.

The 35L and 135L is my staple for 90% of things that I cover right now, TC added sometimes... really really good for indoor photography...

the 85L... is an incredible lens. Incredible. Only use it for portraits. Very outstanding sharpness and bokeh...
