I've had my Kobalux/Avenon for years and it gives very decent pictures:

I like the Avenon/Kobalux 21mm so far. Not too bad, cos I cant afford the 21 Lux hee hee

Just a test shot after collecting the Avenon, not too long ago, pretty sharp I should say
Leika gave you the day shot, I give you a night shot, hee hee hard to come by for this lens

Nice one, Sharky! Looks like taken with the 'Lux!

Can also consider Canon19mmf3.5LTM.

Optically & visually similar is CanonFL19mmf3.5 except that it is slightly bigger in diameter & you need a Canon converter "B" to convert FL to LTM mount.

How about something with a high performance to cost ratio?

Voigtlander Color-Skopar 21mm f/4 M mount. Shown with Bessa R4A.

Cheers,

I use Leitz Super angulon 21/3.4. Strong vignetting, sharp in center, not in corner... but i quite like it.

No easy to find this, I have been hunting for it for almost a year,....still hunting

guys im thinking of voigtlander 21/4 M mount. but , if i mount on M8, will it show the 24mm frameline? If it does then i dont need to spend money get the viewfinder already , which is one of my factors of getting this over the heliar 15/4.5

Anyone knows?

you can use the "full window" of the viewfinder on the M8 as a rough guide to a 21mm frame line (if i dun remember reading wrongly somewhere)...

hmm this would be most convenient if the full window approximates an equiv 28mm view.

the m8 framelines all have have the x1.3 factor included already. Since the widest frameline in m8 is 24mm.. i assume i can just use the full window as said, to be a rough guide for the 21/4 if i intend to buy it?

Yup! No need for external finder. :)

Thanks Gommy & Yatlapball for the tip..

I have been trying to tame with my Kobalux with a Ricoh GR 21/28 vf .. Leica always have the hotshoe off centre and using my Ricoh VF to compose and keeping it centre has always been a challenge.

When I got this len, I dont even know what lens and brand is this....hahaha... All I know is, I will not be able to own any of the nice lens from Leica 21, 24 and 28 mm.
