Audio house is really good at shooting themselves in the leg.
First they give out flyers for D90 Dual Lense kit 18-55mm, 55-200mm at the price of 2099 , freebies include a 100 dollar voucher u can use to rebate immediately

Friday i Went , on high hopes after reading the papers, the sales manager attended to me personally saying if no stock can preorder and collect at liang court. I wanted to purchase on the spot ( HENG AH , God Bless! ) . i suddenly had to leave due to work committments
Today I went back to the expo to purchase it. Asked the sales staff, they say have, suddenly say No such product here , spoke to the same manager, he said Nikon printed Wrongly, theres no such stock around
i was like wtfing already...
such lousy service and wrong info from them. Told myself screw it , im going back to John to purchase my cameras already ...

anyone have such issues with audio house?
im writing in to nikon regarding this issue to verify with them, I will make audio house write an apology letter on the news paper if Nikon say theres no error

they proudly advertised "wholesale price"... but the prices are actually RRP that you can get at Courts, Harvey Norman etc... who are they trying to con?

I have been previously misled by their advertising as well and have completely wiped them off as credible sales. They are only worth it for real cheepo stuff, all real value goods are seldom at price they advertise. For good stuff e.g. Canon 7D they sell at $3199 with bag, dry box, 2x8 Gig cards, screen protector and tripod, looks okay but you can get cheaper at BEST Denki with similar free goods thrown in...but if you buy from Parissilk at $2950, you can spend the equivlaent of $250 to buy accessaries you like. Audio is for suckers and not real value.

I totally agree. AH is full of little fine prints, and almost can be considered similar to buying from SLS - Entice you in with cheap prices and good deals, only to say out of stock and persuade you to get a more expensive version.

Wonder why CASE never do anything about it. I went down with high hopes, the LCD TVs were going really cheap though, but i wasn't surprised to see that the camera prices were exactly the same as all the IT Fairs we have. Stood at the Nikon counter, and heard the sales assistant attending to the guy beside me sprout all sorts of thing like say outside cannot get better price la, no more such kits sold outside la..waste my time just walked off.

Drove all the way down to Expo only to be disappointed..waste my petrol only..:thumbsd:

They will always be able to refer to their T&C fine prints to give your an explanation. ust forget about it.

I wanted to buy a compact cam sometime back after reading the Shin Min Daily news on Friday (evening daily) and I was near Clarke Quay.
So I went there.

The promotion is from Friday to Sunday but when I ask for that camera, they said it's sold out before lunchtime.
Furthermore, the ad is not published on Straits Times and New Paper.

So this is their gimmick to trick people! :thumbsd:

Not too long ago, when i was renovating my place, they advertised really cheap prices for tv to camera to audio systems, i could believe it!!! wat good deal.. but When i see audio hse, i knw there must be a catch somewhere. True enuf, you only get u purchase at that price if u manage to win their on the spot lucky draw. Their is a new saying.. "When you see a deal too good to be true, it can ony be AH .."

Yeah, I remembered seeing that ad. The price advertised was so low people will definitely think it is a very good deal until you read the fine prints in the T&C... :thumbsd:

Well, this is all about following rules in Singapore. As long as there is T&C in fine prints, the shops can always claim they are not misleading customers. And in Singapore govt's book, the shop has complied with the regulations so they can do nothing about it.

but i thought got such kit from nikon actually.. 18-55, 55-200mm dual lens.. just that nikon ceased it months ago.. surprise AH comes out with such a promo when it's been stop.. hahaha.. so many pple falls for their gimmicky ads including me.. but i did dropped by sims drive outlet once.. the staff that served me was quite friendly.. even matching me the quoted price from cathay.. in fact service is considered good to me lah..
