what lens to use to shoot aquarium pictures

Hacknet is not joking. Flash is essential but we don't mount flash on camera when shooting aquarium. In fact for better effect, like better DOF or sharper image for macro shots of fish, it is neccessary to use several flash guns as slaves on top and at angles pointing to the tank and fire from a...

550EX speedlite dropped into fish tank

Yes, I believe so. If we are lucky, the electronic device once dried up, can still function. Now I recall my handphone had dropped into a toilet bowl before but still usable (after thorough clean before use). Also, my stereo was drenched in rain during my school days many years ago when we had...

Ok, I feel better now after reading that a 600mm f4 IS was found swimming in a pond  Compared to my humble 550EX. Thanks for the replies. I was taking some pictures for my planted tank with flash on top, triggered by ST-2E flash transmitter. Thereafter, I adjusted something in the...

Convert adjusted Raw-s Image to JPEG

I was using Tamron 17-50 f2.8, fully zoomed in for the snap. Would I get a cleaner image if I get a 50mm f1.8 to take close up shots of my dog like the one above given the same conditions? Pardon me, trying to learn from sifu here

Convert adjusted Raw-s Image to JPEG

Ok, I will watch out ISO next time instead of choosing ISO auto. I don't know the quality. I merely converted original Raw-s size to JPG and then reduced the size down 40% to upload gallery for this site. Roger and noted. I believe it was underexposed as I had to up the curve to brighten...

Convert adjusted Raw-s Image to JPEG

I used a 40D to take Raw-s images and thereafter downloaded from camera to PC and opened images via Digital Photo Professional ver 3.1 (DPP). Adjusted RGB curve and sharpness. Thereafter I converted adjusted Raw-s images to JPEG and save to 'my picture'. However, the JPEG saved is really noisy...
