you should definitely get one with ice ... removes all the dust and scratches automatically in hardware. One relatively cheap and good model is by primefilm scanners. Some taiwanese brand. But resolution is excellent.

can buy a film scanner ... prime film scanner can scan equivalent to lab 16 base for about SGD600.00. upload and print at www.mydigilab.com ... so far i am very happy with the price and results. i have not come across cheaper 4R printing online yet.
