    I use a Minolta 28-70G 2.8 and Minolta 85 1.4 myself, good glass not exactly cheap though. as for the focus, try MF first and see if its sharp as one of the bros mentioned earlier as well :) oh and welcome to the club :bsmilie:

    Personally I use a Minolta 28-75 2.8 G and a Minolta 85 1.4 for my walkabout, I only bring the telezooms for occasions when I have a need to use which isn't very often. What is important is figuring out what you will use your lenses for, then it will be easy to narrow down the lenses :)
