Anyone knows when you turn on the gridlines and focus area illumination and you half press the grid and focus bracket turns red for like half second and then goes off in a flash. Not very good for using the grid in the dark.... any way to make the grid and bracket stay red for as long as I hold...

check out the flare at the top of the candlelight, is it my UV filter or just the angle from which i took the shot? shot with cokin UV filter on the front at 18mm ISO800. please advise. thx.
