Personally, even if the lighting isn't right but i feel that i really have to take the picture, i'd choose to shoot and live with the lighting somehow. In ur instance, i'm glad that u did shoot it. For flat colours, use curves in PS. Tweak the respective channels into a S shape and see the...

Thanks much! It's all about tweaking the Curves. Try it. :) That's why i like the golden hour so much.

Simple and nice abstract feel to it. Try installing the Colour Management Add-on if your FF isn't rendering colours correctly.

I like the texture in the sky & glow around the mosque is really nice. :) Warmer colour balance (except in sky of cos) & lengthening exposure for silky effect in the water to get contrast in texture with rocks maybe?
