i just got myself the tumax 386..
quite light and easy to use..
but got a Qn for those pro..
if i wan to take photo without the flash in between shots, how to stop the flash from firing??
does i have to switch it off or is there is shortcut to disable it??

heard that 270EX dun have the AF-assist beam right?
it uses the flashing method which is the same as the pop-up flash to focus..
i find it kind of distracting.. so maybe i thinking of getting the 430EX II...

mostly should be taking outdoor shots..
I know about the flash focusing.. Its not that.. Its the flash.. when u press the shutter and befor the shutter close.. So total when i take a photo, there will be a total of 2 flashes..
hmm.. those scenes where u are out walking/shopping and suddenly wan to take photo lor..
i tried adjusting the flash from the menu..but it seems like the it flashes when i press the shutter, and another flash just before the shutter close..
seems like i have to trial and error again.. cos if...
oh yah.. and 1 more thing.. cos those posing for me to take pic always think that once i press, means photo taken..
they dun like to stand there, pose and wait so long for the shutter to close..
