Hi silvermoon1407,
When taking fireworks, i am not sure if it is accurate to focus at the furthest object i could find on the ground.
Last time when using DSLR lenses, i usually set focus to infinity pointing to the dark sky.
Thanks.
Hi wonglp,
Thanks for the info.
Wondered why Olympus cannot make it consistent for all lenses to set focus to infinity when reset.
A better improvement is to introduce electronic focus scale on screen for manual focusing. This seems pretty common on PnS cameras.
Hi wonglp,
When "Reset Lens" = "ON", seems that lens will return focus to infinity when powered off.
So is it correct to assume that by switching off and on the camera, it is also one way to achieve focusing to infinity?
Thanks for the advice provided.
Hi keithwee,
Yes, i am referring to lenses with no distance scale.
Currently i am also using the focusing method you mentioned but i would like to find out if there are other ways to focus to infinity esp. at dark night when it is rather challenging to perform manual focusing.
Thanks.
Hi
As the m43 lenses are without focusing scale, may i know how to achieve infinite focus via MF on Olympus body which there is no indication of the focusing?
Assuming the focus is set at a dark sky at night which MF magnification cannot be used.
If the "Focus Ring" under the A.AF/MF menu...
