Tamron 70-200 user here as well on a K-5. Have not used the Sigma edition so cannot compare. But personally I felt its no slower than the DAL 50-200mm. In fact it does not hunt as much thus has a slight faster AF feel. After a while, you get used to it and compensates for the lack of motor by...
