thanks. yea i noticed the images are soft too. Dont know if its because the autofocus is off for the 18-135mm lens. Dont seem to have such problem with 18-55mm though.

you shouldn't be over-concerned abt why your IR photos is different from others. What matters is your WB and you have to get it right or else there will be an overall cast on your image. I couldnt exactly remember the steps I took to edit your photos, but mainly is using Photoshop to change...

This looks something more like it. I played around with your image and this is what I get. Looks quite ok to me other than the sky being overexposed.

you sure its an ELP you are using? For all you know its an ND filter or polariser.... I mean... I dunno where u get the filter but if its ELP it should cut all wavelength below 685nm, including greens

errm.... did you even shoot with the filter on? you shouldnt be getting green trees even if u did not set any CWB, you'll get an all red image

This looks fine to me..... As far as I know, I think no one manage to set the CWB off the D40 before. IR cut filter is just too strong. I know coz I used to shoot with D40 for IR. So the only way is to shoot RAW and do additional steps with photoshop to get the desired WB. As far as I see...
