For taking scenery and just wide open spaces, does the 17-40 have any perk over the 24-70? Was looking through and saw quite a lot of good comments for the 17 when taking such photos

I do not intend to use a tripod, will be mostly used as a walkaround cam. Willing to spend the 1350, just asking if it is worth the money, or should I wait for the prices to drop further with the 24-70 mk 2 coming out soon
