had used this lens for several weddings...good versatile lens...but you definitely need a wider lens for group photos...especially these days all the HDB flats are quite small.. I am complementing with either my Nikkor 20mm or the Tokina 12-24mm.

thanks for the info... yes the price diff is quite a bit for the tamron and the tokina...guess it is to justify for the built quality then... find the tamron too plasticky...
