I cannot comment on the A7 as I've not used that before. For my A7 II, I do notice that it focuses better than my DSLR in low light conditions, even when using the kit lens.

Has anybody tried using the A7 II for studio shooting? I've big issues with this, as product cannot be seen on the viewfinder using M mode. I'd need to switch to auto mode to compose product and focus, before switching to manual focus, then M mode. Another friend who's using the same camera...

I've just purchased the A7II. Noticed that battery life drains pretty quickly. Took less than 50 pics and battery life is down to 50%. Is this a known issue with the camera? For my DSLR, a full charge allows me to shoot over 300 photos.

I've just bought my A7II and tried my Zeiss 55mm F4 lens on a colleague's A6000. Don't feel any significant difference in the AF speed. Can't comment on the Zeiss 2470 as I've not tried it on A6000.

I just purchased the A7m2 with the A mount adaptor. Tried with my A mount lenses (eg Minolta 50mm, Tamron 90mm macro, Sigma 17-50mm zoom etc and they worked perfectly! Focusing slightly slow with the older lenses but overall still acceptable. So you may like to consider going for the adaptor...
