Sounds like f/1,4 is really worth the money. The usual problem that I have is in locking focus. I have not noticed the difference between focusing with the center AF point and other AF points. Maybe I should try this. But then saying that, I focus using other AF points very frequently, can't...

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I'm currently using 400D, looks like the body plays a part in the focusing. I've had this problem since the beginning, but it didn't bother me too much as I previously used it to capture objects more. Hmm, is it really the body?

Guys, I was in Japan a couple of months back. I can confirm that the ones selling in Japan (in reputable stores like Yodabashi Camera) are also made in Malaysia. So, no point hunting for one made in Japan.

Hi Everyone, I heard that 100mm f2.8 lens is good for macro, and equally competent in portraits. Anyone has experience on this? Alternatively, would it be good to have 85mm with a macro filter? Would be nice to heard some opinions from you guys. :cool:
