Shot these with an EM-5 and 45mm f1.8 in an Oly underwater housing while snorkelling.

Why should there be any effort on your part to try to be as polite as possible? :)
Don't worry young man, if our young people were not to be idealistic and passionate about their ideas and views, the older generation wold have failed in your upbringing. So keep it up.
The quest for...
We should all better appreciate the fact that there are more of us today who appreciate and value these natural assets we have.
In the 1980s birders were viewed with suspicion and ridicule. Bird photography the preserve of the privileged. Back then there were no boardwalks and facilities like...
Spidey, a community shoot would be fun. Subject to scheduling, gssoh, the grandmaster of Oly bird/wildlife, should be asked to come along and give pointers. Hopefully we can coincide it with the first ever meeting of more than two 300mm f2.8 in Singapore by having others shooting with this lens...
Spidey & Eighk, you're welcome to try out the Sigmonster just let me know when and I'll try to accommodate.
Eighk, if you shoot birds in Singapore, it'll be a matter of time before we bump into each other in the field. Unless I am with my Sigmonster which is very rarely, I'll be the only guy...
Spidey, you're not wrong. That's the DOF and black feathers issue :)
GS, I wonder if we're talking about the same person. I hope not because that would mean one more ;)
But you're right. We should organise another birding outing soon. I can provide the Sigma 300-800mm f5.6, 4/3's longest...
Well, I'm always hoping for more kakis to shoot handheld. Its tough shooting with friends with tripod mounted rigs because the whole approach to shooting is completely different and I end up getting in their way if I do my thing :embrass:
Hi Andy, I'm no weight lifter but I'm glad to know...
Just wanted to show what the E-5 can do with the Oly glass and thank you for the kind comments.
Eighk, I shoot without a tripod and the Oly IBIS is one of the reasons I went with Oly for birding. With the 300mm f2.8 plus the EC-14 and EC-20, I have enough reach and speed to do just about any...
Brother Blu, wah this one is out of my league lah! All I can tell is that the smaller feathers are coming out now where they were absent previously.
Maybe the techies here can help?
Doc, get a Tuna together with your pals and at least gssoh and I dont have to be so lonely lah :bsmilie:
Bloody jealous of your Myanmar trip. So remember to post your pics (I can see the Pagan stupas already.....)
:bsmilie: But I disagree with you both!
The Canon and Nikon boys believe that their 1Ds and D3s to be Ferraris but they're simply not. IDs and D3s are work tools used by everyday photographers to make a living. You do not use a 458, 599 or any other model for a living. Heck, you probably...
Oly5050, its not thin enough lah. If thinner, the whole kit will be so super slim!
And ST100, you're right there but I just wonder whether there is any margin for getting it thinner though
Oly5050, that's a Leica 35mm f3.5 Elmar manufactured in 1938. Its the first Leica interchangeable lens. I only wish that there is a slimmer adapter coloured silver... sigh
Not the most efficient but bloody fun to use. That's what's most important right?! :)
