depends on the situation. (lame answer, i know, but its true) how i wish my LX3 can handle all the situations i need to take photos of. but for my frequent nite outs with my friends, its my constant companion :)

seems a lot of people find it ugly. i actually like the design, especially the white one. looks like its going to cost arounf 1k-ish in sgd, which is a good price point. i think the AF performance is the most critical factor that will decide whether it is a good or bad product.

i think there are many cameras out there that can satisfy all your criteria, except for the dust-proofing (weather-seal?). weather seal is a feature mostly reserved for the higher-end cameras. if its really a requirement, a pentax k-5 with a matching WR(weather resistant) lens should be among...
