    Yes u need a longer distance but in terms for bokeh, it is much better than canon 50 1.4. Sigma 50 1.4 is an excellent lens too but just the price is higher n u really need to check on front & back focusing. It is a common problem. I may b wrong. :cool:

    U may consider 85 1.8. It is a classic lens for portrait too.

    It depends on whether u need a better reach lens n ur budget. For a walkabout lens, i will consider 18-135mm.
