How did you take Black and White without using the (POP ART) B&W Grainy?

NO flash. No upgrade.

Still come w/o flash. Sometimes I really need flash and ISO6400 is too grainy. Think I really got to get a flash. My usage would be low anyway. Dont really need a big flash. Pls recommend a budget flash.
