I agree on this..

I thought that Mac (pros and desktops) don't need screen calibration due to their retina display, Apples desktop publishing claim, etc, etc.

Effort wise, I think its good. Just try a longer exposure next time, then try to include landmarks such as buildings (ex: MBS, Esplanade, etc.) so it can be easily identified that it was taken on such places.
