Aurora Borealis Time Lapse - The song of the Sun

Yup, there is nothing more frustrating knowing that the sky is erupting, but you cannot see it. Where do you plan to go? Norway area or Alaska? For you in Japan, hopping on a plane to alaska may be cheaper. Do go at a time where probability of clear skies is high. Thanks!

Aurora Borealis Time Lapse - The song of the Sun

Thanks guys The star trails effect was created using scriptclip function of avisynth. The aurora pictures were around 13 seconds exposure. Every 14 seconds the cam took a picture. F2.8 11mm and ISO 3200-6400 depending upon the Aurora strength. Ideally, I should have taken at 8 seconds exposure...

    my Invisible Collections

I am trying to replicate yellow foliage, but am unable to do so. Could manage to do so once accidently. What hue values do you use for yellow foliage

How do you Colour your IR photos?

I am wondering how to get a yellowish foliage. Channel swap gives me brownish greywhite trees, and cyan/blue sky. I want some kind of channel mixer settings which can give me yellow foliage, and blue skies. I know its possible in channel mixer, but I wonder what colors mix how!

    IR with D7000 (Long exposures)

Thanks! I use a R72 equivalent filter. It still retains enough color, though due to high internal cut off filters in D7000, even in bright sunlight I had to use 13s of exposures, and even after that I had to pull in +1 from RAW. I guess, Correct exposure at ISO 200 F/8 with a D7000 is...
