rented the 30d for a day from Jason. Nice guy, very reasonably price for the rental of 30d which takes great shoots. Further still had a free photographic magazine as part of the rental deal (can't comment yet as still have no time to read). Highly recommended if you are planning to rent the 30d.

most likely is lens problem if you are using the canon kit lens. when i mount older lenses, there are no problem. You might want to try other canon lens to confirm this point.
