    Sticky/Cracking on 700si Handgrip

I sent my 700si and 9xi to Sony Service Centre on monday and got a call yesterday that there are no more spares for the 700si handgrip and card door. However they can fit the 800si grip onto the 700si body for $80. I told them to proceed with the replacement and hope to get the 700si back by...

    Sticky/Cracking on 700si Handgrip

Applying petroleum based product to rubber is a mistake... it would attack the rubber. The rubberised handgrip on my 700si is not dry, in fact it's oozing some liquified stuff between the cracks. Does any owners of 800si or Dynax 9 have this problem on their cameras? The textured handgrips...

I am still using my Minolta 700si SLR despite the availability of KM 5D and 7D. The reason I am not upgrading to a DSLR is because of the lens factor. I like my 24mm lens to remain 24mm and not 36mm. Are there anyone like me still holding back on buying a DSLR because of this reason? If the...

    KM D5D feedback please

Went to Comex to get a replacement for my 700si. Toyed with both the 5D and 7D. Prefer the heavier and more ergonomically build of 7D with their convieniently placed function buttons and switches. With the 5D, one has to go to the menu to activate the functions, more steps = wasted shot...

    Minolta Flash

TME, The HS Flashes can be used on the i, xi, si and Dynax 7 series of AF SLRs but not on the 5000, 7000, and 9000 AF SLRs without an adaptor hot shoe. With this adaptor hotshoe, the flash fires on every shot, regardless of whether it is needed or not. In other words, forced flash...that is the...
