Yo bro, I have gotten the screen protector (similar to those for hp) at $2 (SLRR). I got it together with the purchase of the 550D and Hoya filter. You may want to check with them? ;)

Got it for $36. MS tried selling me Kit I and they seemed pretty disinterested in serving me (since they have sold out Kit II and D90). Maybe business too good. ;p I'm surprised to be told that they don't keep stock 7D? :dunno:
